India is set to receive another 8-10 cheetahs from Botswana or Namibia in December, with plans to acquire a similar number from Kenya next year. These additions will expand the cheetah population across four landscapes, including the prepared Nauradehi wildlife sanctuary and Banni grasslands. Currently, India hosts 27 cheetahs in Kuno and Gandhisagar, with hopes for new births in Gandhisagar.
