Abu Dhabi: UAE confirmed the detection of 1,111 new coronavirus cases. 683 recoveries were also announced by the authorities on Sunday. There were no new fatalities.
This takes the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases to 142,143 while recoveries have risen to 138,291 post Sunday's update. The death toll remained at 514.
A total of 154,882 COVID-19 tests were conducted over the past few days which led to the detection of these new cases, UAE authorities added.
